A list of Dangerous Vitamins and Minerals for the Human Body

We live in an age of mass consumerism. Everywhere you go you are greeted with lie after lie about the health benefits of certain products. I am now going to tell you some facts about certain so-called vitamins that will clear up some of the lies that certain health companies have been spreading in order to sell their supplements and health products.

– Vitamin B15, or pangamic acid, a substance present in most seeds, but irrelevant to our body. Although it is totally useless, it has been found to contain lots of carcinogens. The FDA (food control agency in the U.S.) banned its sale in the U.S.

– Vitamin B17 or amygdalin, is not a vitamin, nor have any metabolic role in humans, but is very toxic as it can create cyanide in the stomach. There have been several deaths due to ingestion of Vitamin B17. When the company behind the craze with Vitamin B17 starting losing business, they then claimed it had the potential to cure cancer. Needless to say, some of them are now serving time in prison and the substance has been banned worldwide.

– Inositol. This substance is a vitamin for some insects and bacteria. Mice also need it or else they lose their fur. However, humans can produce all we need of it. Companies were trying to sell it as a cure for baldness, until everyone realized that mice and men are not the same thing.

– PABA, initials of para-amino benzoic acid. It is essential for some bacteria, but completely unnecessary for humans.

– Orotic acid. It is a metabolic intermediate that can be synthesized in the quantities we need.

– Carnitine. It is not a vitamin. Our body can manufacture all it needs.

– Taurine. This substance is essential for cats, and maybe for newborns, because human milk contains more than other species. For this reason it is added to milk for infant feeding. Adults have no need for it.
