The foods we consume in our daily lives, go a long way to ensuring that our personal and emotional lives are at peace and happy. Food gives the body life and energy, and is one of the most important ways to stay happy. This is caused by eating certain foods, releasing endorphins into the brain. Endorphins are hormones that promote mood and increase the sense of well-being in our minds and body. When we eat bad foods we feel bad. This is a simple fact, buts its true.

To get a balanced diet full of energy, you have to follow a few simple food rules:

Try breakfast at home: muesli, puffed cereals, dairy, bread and fruit. At lunch and dinner begin with a plate of raw vegetables accompanied with meat or fish. Watch the portion sizes that you eat, as over-eating can also make you feel bloated, tired and depressed. At each meal you can eat two slices of wheat bread. Avoid soft drinks, and stick instead to natural mineral water. This will cut your calorie intake massively.

If you are going on a picnic, takes a natural yogurt and fresh fruit instead of high-fat cheeses and sweets. At lunchtime try to find a quiet place with little noise, where you can enjoy food, chew well and drink slowly. A salad without any dressing is always a good idea for lunch. Try not to mix food with very different characteristics. For example, it is good to combine animal protein (meat, fish and dairy), with carbohydrates (pasta). It is also advisable to eat fruit on its own, isolated from the most important meals of the day. Remember not to forget your daily intake of water. Start the day off with drinking a large glass of water before breakfast.
